Overview
Nava Art Studio (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information this website collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
We only collect what you choose to give us:
- When you buy something: your name, email address, and payment details, entered on Stripe’s secure checkout page. For shipped prints, also your shipping address. We never see or store your full card number.
- When you join the mailing list: your email address.
- When you request a custom portrait: your name, email address, message, and the photo you upload. These are sent to the artist by email. The photo is not saved on this website.
- When you email us: whatever you include in your message.
Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. This is used to keep the site running and secure.
How we use your information
- To process and deliver your order, including emailing download links and shipping prints
- To reply to portrait requests and other messages
- To send mailing list updates about new work and shows, if you signed up
- To prevent fraud and keep the website secure
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements
Every mailing list email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email us at any time to be removed.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted services to run this website and business:
- Stripe processes payments.
- Resend sends our emails and stores the mailing list.
- Vercel hosts the website.
- Sanity stores the artwork and page content. No customer information is stored there.
- A print and shipping partner, if you order a shipped print, receives your name and shipping address so it can deliver your order.
Each of these services handles information under its own privacy policy. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or as part of a transfer of the business.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and does not track you across other websites. Stripe’s checkout page may use cookies to process your payment securely and prevent fraud.
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. Because we don’t track visitors across websites, our site works the same whether or not this signal is on.
How long we keep it
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above: for example, order records for tax and accounting, portrait request emails until the portrait is finished and any follow-up is complete, and mailing list addresses until you unsubscribe.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information we have about you, or to have your portrait photo deleted, by contacting us at sandyshanart@gmail.com. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, and payments are handled entirely by Stripe. No method of sending or storing information online is completely secure, however.
Children’s privacy
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Links to other websites
This website links to other sites, such as Instagram. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
